Permit Inspector / Warranty

Job Description

ENERGY SERVICE PARTNERS is currently looking for a productive individual who can be a good fit as our Permit Inspector / Warranty Field Technician. The key duty of the Permit Inspector / Warranty Field Technician is troubleshooting, repairing, and adjusting faulty solar systems. This position will involve traveling across the Norcal region to visit assigned job sites and perform tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot/diagnose/repair of common solar failures.
  • Respond to assignments in a timely manner and updating the database.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of solar industry and the procedures.
  • Communicate progress of resolutions to customers and internal team members.
  • Hosting inspections by meeting city inspector
  • Install ladder at proper location of building for city inspector
  • Open electrical equipment for inspection (inverter, ac disconnects, etc.)
  • Prepare and fix any issues on-site prior to inspection
  • Find solutions and repair corrections issued through City
  • Driving will be required for travel between job sites.
  • Company vehicle will be considered for the right candidate
  • Maintain a clean and acceptable driving record on and off the job.
  • Valid and clean driver license

Requirements

  • Installation of solar panels

Site Inspector

Job Summary
The Site Inspection Team is responsible for gathering all the on-site information needed from a customer’s home to design and install a PV solar system. Each job is unique in its requirements, and the Site Inspector’s job is to discover and collect all the specifics for each home. 

Responsibilities
• Drive to multiple locations across the region as required for the day’s inspections
• Access customer rooftop to measure roof area for mounting PV solar modules, and determine integrity of the roof
• Access customer attic to inspect structural members essential for Engineering the system
• Open up and document customer electrical panel for interconnection information
• Take photos of entire property to ensure there are no unexpected site conditions upon installation
• Complete Site Inspection paperwork and upload all information to cloud storage on company software
• Communicate all information with Engineering Team for accuracy and fluidity
• Other duties as required

Experience and Requirements
• Experience conducting site inspections or other site work preferred (i.e. solar PV installations, energy efficiency, roofing, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills required
• Able to use most modern computer software, phone-based apps, and computers required
• Capable of carrying 50 lbs. required
• Able to set up ladders and climb two stories required
• Able to work in difficult physical environments (i.e. hot sun on roof, heat and tight spaces in attic, etc.)
• Valid driver’s license required
• Good driving record required

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of project documentation and submit to financing partners
  • Regularly communicate with internal and external partners, doing so with clarity and professionalism
  • Quickly learn and work in multiple technology platforms
  • Synthesize information from multiple sources and formats to determine project viability
  • Apply best practices to project reviews in the areas of documentation compliance, financing, and PV construction
  • Efficiently manage competing priorities and deadlines

Communications Specialist

Job Description

Energy Service Partners (ESP) is a leader in the solar installation industry. ESP is currently seeking to hire a new Communication representative. The new hire will be responsible for providing communication project support for homeowners, sales representatives, and completing administrative tasks related to operational activities. Communication representatives also use their project management skills to reach all organizational goals. They interact with other departments to make sure jobs move smoothly through the system. As part of the customer/sales representative support team, the new communication representative will receive calls from customers (primarily homeowners) and sales representatives requesting project updates and information.

All new hires will be trained in ESP's CRM software and will be immersed in the ESP customer care philosophy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • make outbound and receive inbound calls to and from homeowners and sales representatives
  • Received inbound calls evaluate projects and relay detailed project information to caller and document in call log
  • Make outbound calls to customers relaying project information as required and document in call log
  • Review projects, determine project status and work with other departments to resolve problems
  • Be a team player
  • Answering a high volume of phone calls
  • Scheduling appointments and inspections for projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent and effective communication skills
  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or other related field is required
  • Experience working in Solar industry a plus but not mandatory
