Scope of Work Preview
This area will show you the description of the scope of work involved with the roof type requested once you fill out the required info.

Comp Shingle - Tear Off
- Removing all layers of existing roof down to the roof sheathing.
- Inspecting the roof sheathing for damage, if damaged wood is discovered we will replace it at a small additional cost per linear foot of 1x6 or 1x4 wood boards or per square foot for plywood.
- All debris will be cleaned up and hauled away.
- We will furnish and install new drip edge metal and all new underlayment in accordance with local codes.
- We propose to furnish and install a new layer of architectural shingles (Owens Corning Oakridge series or similar product, depending on availability) with all associated flashings and trims. (Please note: this option is NOT an Overlay on existing roof shingles - please contact Support to request Overlay for your project instead)
- Please note that if you can see your roof sheathing under your eaves and it is not 3/4 inch thick or more, you will see the nail points penetrating your deck after the new roof installation is complete. The manufacturer specs and building codes require a minimum of 3/4 penetration for all nails into the wood roof sheathing for the proper wind resistance. With most roof sheathing this results in through penetration and visible nail tips along the eaves.

Tile - Lift/Relay Involves:
- Removing existing tile and stacking/storing tile at designated location on property for reinstallation later. (The homeowner must agree to designate an area of the yard/garage where roofing crew can stack tile and store for a few weeks until reinstallation after the solar job is completed)
- Removing underlayment down to the wood sheathing of the roof.
- Inspecting the roof sheathing for damage, if damaged wood is discovered we will replace it at a small additional cost per linear foot of 1x6 or 1x4 wood boards or per square foot for plywood. All debris will be cleaned up and hauled away.
- We will furnish and install new drip edge metal and all new underlayment in accordance with local codes.
- We propose reinstall the previously removed roof tiles with all associated flashings and trims.
- Replacement tiles will be furnished and installed for any tiles damaged during removal. Please note that if you can see your roof sheathing under your eaves and it is not 3/4 inch thick or more, you will see the nail points penetrating your deck after the new roof installation is complete. The manufacturer specs and building codes require a minimum of 3/4 inch penetration for all nails into the wood roof sheathing for the proper wind resistance. With most roof sheathing this results in through penetration and visible nail tips along the eaves.

(Please note that the color of the new/replacement tiles and existing tiles will not match exactly due to the age difference or availability of the replacement tiles. We will try to match as close as possible but do not guarantee a perfect color match)

Tile - Comp Out/Picture Frame Involves:
- Removing existing tile and stacking/storing tile at designated location on property for reinstallation later. (The homeowner must agree to designate an area of the yard/garage that roofing crew can stack tile and store for a few weeks until reinstallation after the solar job is completed)
- Removing underlayment down to the wood sheathing of the roof.
- Inspecting the roof sheathing for damage, if damaged wood is discovered we will replace it at a small additional cost per linear foot of 1x6 or 1x4 wood boards or per square foot for plywood.
- All debris will be cleaned up and hauled away.
- We will furnish and install new drip edge metal and all new underlayment in accordance with local codes.
- We propose to furnish and install a new layer of architectural shingles (Owens Corning Oakridge series or similar product, depending on availability) with all associated flashings and trims.
- We will then wait for the solar installation to be performed and completed. Roof will be 100% watertight during this time. Work after this point will be aesthetic only.
- We propose to reinstall the previously removed roof tiles with all associated flashings and trims around solar arrays (back-fill) to minimize the visibility of the comp shingles.
- Replacement tiles will be furnished and installed for any tiles damaged during removal.
- Please note that if you can see your roof sheathing under your eaves and it is not 3/4 inch thick or more, you will see the nail points penetrating your deck after the new roof installation is complete. The manufacturer specs and building codes require a minimum of 3/4 inch penetration for all nails into the wood roof sheathing for the proper wind resistance. - We propose to install new standard concrete tile roof tiles with all associated flashings and trims. (Standard in stock colors and series only; roofer will email manufacturer links to select color directly to the homeowner to choose from)

- All debris will be cleaned up and hauled away.
- We will furnish and install new drip edge metal and all new underlayment in accordance with local codes.
- We propose to install new standard concrete tile roof tiles with all associated flashings and trims. (Standard in stock colors and series only; roofer will email manufacturer links to select color directly to the homeowner to choose from)

Flat - Rolled Comp (aka Torchdown or Modified Bitumen/ModBit) Involves:
- Removing all layers of existing roof down to the roof sheathing.
- Inspecting the roof sheathing for damage, if damaged wood is discovered we will replace it at a small additional cost per linear foot of 1x6 or 1x4 wood boards or per square foot for plywood.
- All debris will be cleaned up and hauled away.
- We will furnish and install new drip edge metal and all new underlayment in accordance with local codes.
- We propose to furnish and install a new SBS modified bitumen rolled composition roofing system with all associated flashings and trims.
- Please note that if you can see your roof sheathing under your eaves and it is not 3/4 inch thick or more, you will see the nail points penetrating your deck after the new roof installation is complete. The manufacturer specs and building codes require a minimum of 3/4 inch penetration for all nails into the wood roof sheathing for the proper wind resistance. With most roof sheathing this results in through penetration and visible nail tips along the eaves.

Flat - Membrane/TPO Involves:
- Removing all layers of existing roof down to the roof sheathing.
- Inspecting the roof sheathing for damage, if damaged wood is discovered we will replace it at a small additional cost per linear foot of 1x6 or 1x4 wood boards or per square foot for plywood.
- All debris will be cleaned up and hauled away.
- We will install a layer of Class A fire rated Fire Sheet or ½” Densdeck rigid insulation board using metal cap nails or screws and plates.
- We propose to furnish and install a new Title 24 compliant, heat reflective Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) Membrane roofing system with all associated flashings and trims.
- Please note that if you can see your roof sheathing under your eaves and it is not 3/4 inch thick or more, you will see the nail points penetrating your deck after the new roof installation is complete. The manufacturer specs and building codes require a minimum of 3/4 inch penetration for all nails into the wood roof sheathing for the proper wind resistance. Flat - Silicone "Cool Roof" (aka Spray Foam) Involves:
- Existing roof will be cleaned and gently power washed to remove any dirt or debris
- The rest of the roof will have all vents, flashings, corners, curbs, or any other venerable parts of the roof sealed and prepped with white silicone elastomeric roofing mastic.
- (Note: this is NOT tearing off or removing the existing roof layers) All debris will be cleaned up and hauled away.
- A thick base coat of silicone elastomeric coating using brushes, rollers or sprayers at approx. 1.5 gallons per square (100 SF) and then allowed to dry.
- A thick bright white heat reflective “COOL ROOF” topcoat of silicone elastomeric coating using brushes, rollers or sprayers at approx. 1.5 gallons per square (100 SF) and then allowed to dry. (Total of both base and topcoat layers will be approx. 3 gallons per square)

Plywood Involves:
- Installing new plywood decking over the existing sheathing using framing nails.

Estimate Total
